The Veil: Enviromental Storytelling with Gothic Art and Architecture
This short film investigates the use of the environment for storytelling by leaving out the story details. The context of the environment can be used as a key to reveal more information in animation design. Letting the environment do the storytelling visually as intended in the visual storytelling approach. Also, it enables the audience to focus more on the environment. Using textures, lighting, color theory, and symbolism as a guide in environment storytelling, the environment can be used to unfold the plot vividly.
